Is my script uploaded or saved anywhere?
No. The teleprompter runs entirely in your browser. Your script stays on your device, is not sent to any server, and is gone when you close the tab. There is no account.
What is mirror mode for?
Hardware teleprompters use a piece of glass (a beam splitter) that reflects the screen, which flips the text left-to-right. Mirror mode flips the text so it reads correctly in that reflection. Leave it off for reading directly from the screen.
Can I use it on a phone or tablet?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on a computer, tablet, or phone. A tablet propped near your camera makes a simple, portable teleprompter.
How do I control the scrolling?
Press Start (or the space bar) to scroll and again to pause. Use the speed slider for the pace, the text-size slider for readability, Restart to jump back to the top, and Fullscreen for a clean reading view.
Does it record the video?
No - it is just the prompter. Record with your camera app, or use our screen recorder to capture your screen, webcam, and microphone while you read.
