Mute video
Drop in a clip and get a silent copy back. It is muted in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
Sometimes you just need the picture without the sound - background chatter, music you cannot share, or a voice you would rather drop. Most "mute video" sites upload your clip to a server to do it. This one strips the audio on your own device with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so the video never leaves your computer. It copies the video without re-encoding, so it is fast and keeps full quality. Free, no signup, no watermark. It is the same private, local-first approach as our screen recorder.
