This one strips the audio on your own device with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so the video never leaves your computer. It copies the video without re-encoding, so it is fast and keeps full quality. Free, no signup, no watermark. It is the same private, local-first approach as our screen recorder.

How it works
Three steps, all in the browser. The first run downloads the ffmpeg engine (about 30 MB) once; after that it starts instantly.
- Choose your video. Drop a clip (MP4, WebM, MOV) onto the box, or click to pick one. It is read from your device, not uploaded.
- Click Remove audio. The audio track is dropped and the video copied across, so it is fast and keeps full quality.
- Download the silent video. Preview it, then download. Nothing was sent anywhere.

Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The audio is removed entirely in your browser using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your video is read from your device, muted on your device, and saved back to your device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
Will muting reduce the video quality?
No. It copies the video stream as-is and only drops the audio, so there is no re-encoding and no quality loss. It is also why it is so fast.
What format do I get back?
The same container as your input where possible (for example MP4 in, MP4 out), so quality and compatibility are preserved. For unusual inputs it falls back to MP4.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It is a normal web page with no app, no browser extension, and no admin rights. The first run downloads the ffmpeg engine, about 30 MB, to your browser cache, then it is ready immediately next time.
Does the result have a watermark?
No. There is no watermark and no signup. You get a clean, silent copy of your video.
