How to convert a screen recording to MP3

Can you extract the audio from a screen recording?
Yes, as long as the recording captured sound. A screen recording made with system audio or a microphone has an audio track inside it. The Video to MP3 tool reads that track and saves it as an MP3. If the recording is silent, there is no audio to pull out.
How do I convert a screen recording to MP3 on iPhone or iPad?

How do I do it on Mac or Windows?
Record with our browser recorder (or QuickTime on a Mac), then drop the file into the Video to MP3 tool in the same browser. The audio is extracted on your computer and downloaded as an MP3. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can I get the audio from a FaceTime or call screen recording?
If the recording captured the call sound, yes - the tool saves it as an MP3 like any other recording. Note that a phone's screen recording captures app and system audio, but a normal phone call is often not included for privacy reasons. A FaceTime or in-app call is captured when the app allows its audio to be recorded.
Will the MP3 sound as good as the recording?
The audio is re-encoded to MP3, so choose 320 kbps to stay closest to the original. The result can only be as good as the sound already in the recording. If the recording was quiet or missed the system audio, the MP3 will have the same problem.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The audio is pulled out inside your own browser, on your own device. There is no account, and the recording is never sent to a server. This is the same privacy promise as the rest of Screen Recording App.
